The Children’s Committee at the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) provides a safe and supportive space for refugee, asylum-seeking, and other vulnerable children to grow in a creative, educational, and participatory environment. The committee aims to empower children, promote their rights, and provide learning and recreational opportunities through a variety of activities, including educational workshops, skill-building sessions, cultural and artistic programs, and psychosocial and recreational activities.

The committee places a special focus on children’s mental health, social development, and life skills. Activities are designed to help children build self-confidence, develop problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity skills, while also fostering understanding of and integration with the host community.

Through collaboration with volunteers, educational and psychosocial experts, as well as engagement with public institutions, civil society organizations, universities, and international organizations, the Children’s Committee ensures that children not only benefit from protective and supportive services but also have the opportunity to voice their needs and participate actively in decisions affecting their rights and well-being.

Nurturing Young Minds: ARSA Children's Committee Offers Fun, Art & Learning

We are thrilled to announce the establishment of the ARSA Children's Committee within our association.

Aiming to contribute to the development of our children and support them in various fields, this committee is embarking on its activities with a range of valuable events and courses.

Our Events:

Chess Club♟: Every Thursday at 3:30 PM, we gather at our association's building. We invite all our children to join this club, which will help them develop their strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Music Choir Group: Again, every Friday at 3:30 PM, we are starting our choir rehearsals to share the unifying power of music with our children. In our music choir group, we sing songs together and share moments filled with music. This event is open to everyone and we welcome all music enthusiasts to join us.

YÖS Course✏️: Registration is now open for our Yurtdışında Öğrenci Seçme ve Yerleştirme Sınavı (YÖS) course. This online and free course is a great opportunity for our students preparing for university. Our instructors will guide our students through the exam process and provide them with all the necessary support to succeed.

Painting Class for Children : Every Saturday at [time to be determined], we are excited to offer a painting class for children! This is a wonderful opportunity for young minds to explore their creativity and develop their artistic skills. Up to 25 children can participate in this volunteer-led program.
