The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) recognizes health as a fundamental human right and a key pillar of human dignity, well-being, and social cohesion. Ensuring equitable access to health services for asylum seekers, refugees, and other vulnerable groups is therefore a core area of ARSA’s work.

ARSA provides guidance, identification, referral, and follow-up services to support individuals in accessing primary and specialized healthcare within Türkiye’s public health system. These services include assistance with hospital appointments, treatment follow-up, access to essential medications, and accompaniment for particularly vulnerable cases to ensure continuity of care.

In addition to direct health-related support, ARSA actively works in the field of health awareness and education. Through training sessions, workshops, and community-based activities, the association raises awareness on topics such as public health, personal hygiene, preventive care, and the health needs of women and children.

ARSA collaborates closely with public institutions, hospitals, healthcare providers, and volunteer medical professionals to strengthen coordination and reduce barriers to healthcare access. The association also delivers Psychosocial Support (PSS) services, recognizing the strong link between mental well-being and overall health, especially for individuals affected by forced displacement.

ARSA’s approach to health is human-centered, non-discriminatory, and rights-based. By building effective links between vulnerable individuals and the healthcare system, ARSA aims not only to respond to urgent health needs but also to promote resilience, awareness, and long-term well-being within refugee communities.
