In response to frequent inquiries from refugees, asylum seekers, and other foreign nationals regarding neighborhoods that are closed to address registration and residence-related procedures in Türkiye, the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) is republishing the list that was previously made available through Migration Management Directorates sources.

This list is based on an official announcement issued in 2022, which stated that the number of neighborhoods closed to certain registration and residence-related procedures for foreign nationals had increased to 1,169 due to the high concentration of foreign residents in specific areas.

We would like to emphasize that this is not a current list but rather the latest comprehensive official list that was publicly released in 2022. The status of some neighborhoods may have changed in subsequent years, and additional regulations may have been introduced. However, as of the date of this publication, an updated and comprehensive list of closed neighborhoods has not been officially released to the public.

For this reason, foreign nationals are strongly advised to verify the current status of their intended neighborhood through Provincial Migration Management Directorates or other relevant official authorities before renting a property, registering an address, or applying for a change of residence.
