GöçBil is an official mobile application developed by the Presidency of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi Başkanlığı) of the Republic of Türkiye for foreigners living in Türkiye. The application provides easier and faster access to certain migration-related services, allows users to follow up on their applications and procedures, and provides important official notifications and information through mobile devices.

One of the main purposes of GöçBil is to make migration-related procedures more accessible digitally and to reduce unnecessary visits to migration offices. However, not every procedure can be completed entirely online. Depending on the type of service and the user's status, some procedures may still require an in-person visit to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management or identity verification.

Which languages does GöçBil support?

GöçBil supports seven languages: Turkish, English, German, Russian, Persian, Arabic and Pashto. The availability of Persian and Pashto is particularly useful for Afghan nationals and other Persian- and Pashto-speaking foreigners living in Türkiye.

How can GöçBil be downloaded?

GöçBil is available for both Android and iOS devices. Users should download the application only from official application stores, such as Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

When downloading the application, users should check that the developer is the Presidency of Migration Management (Göç İdaresi Başkanlığı). Applications downloaded from unknown websites or unofficial links should be avoided in order to protect personal information and prevent the installation of fraudulent applications.

How can users register and log in to GöçBil?

After installing the application, users can log in with an existing account or create a new account where applicable. Depending on the available options, users may be able to log in using e-Devlet.

For users who do not have access to e-Devlet, the application also provides a registration option. During registration, passport information can be entered manually or, where supported, the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of the passport can be scanned to transfer the relevant information more easily.

In some cases, users may need to complete an identity or user verification process at the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management. Therefore, registering for the application does not necessarily mean that all migration procedures can be completed without visiting a migration office.

What services are available through GöçBil?

Depending on the user's status and eligibility, GöçBil provides access to various migration-related services. These may include appointment procedures, travel permit procedures, notification obligations, access to personal information and identity information, as well as other digital services provided by the Presidency of Migration Management.

The application can also help users follow up on certain procedures and access information related to their migration records and official processes.

For people under international protection or temporary protection, the services and options available through the application may vary depending on their legal status and individual circumstances.

Travel Permit procedures

One of the important functions of GöçBil is access to Travel Permit (Yol İzin Belgesi) procedures. Eligible users can submit or manage travel permit-related requests through the application and follow the status of their applications.

However, the applicable requirements may vary depending on the person's status, registered province and destination. Users should therefore carefully review the current requirements displayed in the application before submitting a request.

Notification obligations and periodic procedures

GöçBil can also facilitate certain notification obligation (Bildirim Yükümlülüğü) procedures digitally. For users who are required to make regular notifications to the migration authorities, the application may allow these procedures to be completed through a mobile device.

The application also includes technological features related to user and identity verification. Depending on the user's status and the current version of the application, certain procedures may involve identity and location verification mechanisms.

Access to YİMER 157

GöçBil also provides access to YİMER 157 (Foreigners Communication Center) services. YİMER is an official communication channel through which foreigners in Türkiye can obtain information about residence permits, international protection, temporary protection, visas and other migration-related matters.

When users are uncertain about a migration procedure, it is recommended that they obtain information from official sources such as the Presidency of Migration Management and YİMER 157 rather than relying on unverified information shared through social media or other informal channels.

Security and personal data

GöçBil may process sensitive personal information, including passport, identity, contact and migration-related information. For this reason, users should take appropriate precautions when using the application.

Users should never share their passwords with others, should use a secure screen lock on their phones and should enter personal information only through official applications and websites.

Users should also be cautious about suspicious links or messages received through WhatsApp, social media or other communication channels that request passport information, identity documents, account details or money.
