The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) considers Psychosocial Support Services (PSS) a core component of its work. These services aim to promote mental health, resilience, and social empowerment for refugees, asylum seekers, and other vulnerable individuals.
ARSA’s psychosocial support activities include:
-
Providing individual and group counseling to address stress, anxiety, trauma from conflict or migration, and other life challenges
-
Organizing empowerment sessions and life skills workshops for children, adolescents, and adults
-
Supporting families and creating safe, stable environments for healthy growth of family members
-
Establishing local support networks and fostering connections between vulnerable individuals, refugees, and host communities
-
Guiding beneficiaries to specialized therapeutic and psychological services when needed
All PSS activities are designed with a rights-based, gender-sensitive, and confidential approach, ensuring that individuals can strengthen their personal and social capacities while maintaining dignity and safety.
Leveraging field experience, a wide volunteer network, and collaboration with public institutions and civil society organizations, ARSA is committed to delivering psychosocial support as an effective tool for well-being, empowerment, and protection, creating safe, stable, and dignified environments for all vulnerable individuals and refugees.
