The Gülçemen Women’s Committee, operating under the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association, has launched the second round of the Self Help+ project, implemented in collaboration with the University of Washington. The first session of the new round took place on 23 July 2025, and like the previous phase, it will consist of five sessions in total.

In this opening session, discussions focused on stress factors affecting women, coping mechanisms, and experiences of solidarity — continuing in line with the themes of the first round. Through group sharing, participants not only supported one another emotionally but also learned new methods for managing stress.

Participants expressed that they found a safe space where they could openly share their diverse life experiences without judgment. Once again, the session highlighted the value of solidarity among women within the community.

The Association remains committed to regularly implementing initiatives that promote the psychological and social empowerment of women.
