As the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA), we continue our institutional visits as part of the “ACAR Project: Invisible Barriers – Access to Rights for Children with Disabilities in the Context of Displacement in Türkiye.”

On 18 September 2026, within the scope of the project objectives, we visited Mr. Haluk Timmur, Branch Manager and Officer Responsible for Special Education and Guidance Services at the Talas District Directorate of National Education in Kayseri.

During the institutional visit, issues related to displaced children with disabilities’ access to educational services, special education and guidance services, as well as the needs and challenges encountered in this field, were discussed. Field experiences were shared, and opportunities for cooperation to strengthen children’s access to their right to education were also explored.
