As the Afghan Refugees Solidarity Association, we organized an event for our women beneficiaries on the 8th of March International Women's Day. Our event started with an information session on Gender-Based Violence with the presentation of Lawyer Şeyma Herdem. Information on the definition of gender, gender roles, the learning process of gender roles, types of violence and its effects on women, mechanisms to prevent gender-based violence, and institutions that support refugee & migrant women were included in this information session. During the session, Persian translation was provided to our beneficiaries. At the end of our information meeting, we presented roses to the participants to celebrate International Women's Day.

This event was held within the scope of profect called "Improving Community-based Social Services for Refugees and Vulnerable Residents of Host Communities in Türkiye (CLIP 2)” which is co-funded by the European Union through its Humanitarian Aid Operations department (ECHO) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
