On 13 November 2025, the Children’s Rights Committee – under the theme “Söz Çocuklarda / Children Have the Floor” – convened with high participation within ARSA. The event, designed to strengthen children’s active involvement, opened with children selecting from the “Children’s Rights Boxes” to start the meeting. Afterwards, the children shared their views on their rights, asked questions, and discussed different perspectives, creating a collaborative evaluation environment.
In the second part of the meeting, the celebration for 20 November World Children’s Rights Day took place—an occasion the children had eagerly anticipated. Small gifts were presented to all children who regularly attend the activities, and a brief awareness talk was delivered on the importance of children’s rights.
As part of this special day, the new term Children’s Committee Management was elected through a democratic voting process. Following the vote among the children, the following roles were assigned:
-
Committee Chair
-
Vice Chair
-
Two Recording Members
Medals symbolizing responsibility and leadership were presented to the newly elected chair and vice chair. These medals will be used in every new term as a symbol of the important duties undertaken by children.
Throughout the event, children actively expressed their thoughts, freely shared their ideas, and conveyed their expectations for future committee activities. The meeting concluded with the official formation of the 2025–2026 ARSA Children’s Rights Committee Board Members.
As ARSA, we remain committed to supporting children’s participation in decision-making processes and strengthening their rights through our ongoing activities.
