From 27 to 29 July 2026, the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) hosted a three-day training seminar for the research team that will implement the Learn Project, a scientific study focusing on Afghan migrants living in Türkiye.

The seminar was designed to prepare the five-member research team for the fieldwork phase of the project. Participants received comprehensive training on the project's objectives, research methodology, interview techniques, data collection procedures, ethical standards, confidentiality of participants' information, and best practices for conducting high-quality field research. Both theoretical and practical sessions were included throughout the training.

The Learn Project aims to examine the health status, social relationships, and migration and journey experiences of Afghan migrants residing in Türkiye. The study will involve interviews with approximately 1,000 Afghan households in Kayseri and several other cities across the country.

The research is being conducted by Princeton University in collaboration with the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA). The findings are expected to contribute to a better understanding of the living conditions, needs, and experiences of Afghan migrants and to support evidence-based research, humanitarian programming, and policy development.
