The Afghan Refugee Solidarity Association organized an information session on civil law on November 26th, Sunday, providing participants with crucial insights. The session, led by Lawyer Şeyma Herdem, covered topics such as marriage and divorce, the citizenship acquired through marriage by foreigners, the preservation of residence and work permits, domestic violence, and types of violence. Additionally, detailed information was shared about public institutions and non-governmental organizations that can be approached for assistance in cases of violence.

The information session not only focused on presenting topics but also facilitated an interactive question-and-answer session with participants. This allowed for a better understanding of the subjects discussed and provided an opportunity for sharing personal experiences. This interactive session enabled participants to acquire more information and address any doubts related to the topics.

These informative sessions contribute to raising awareness about legal rights and protection mechanisms within the community, assisting refugees in leading safer and more informed lives.

This event was held within the scope of profect called "Improving Community-based Social Services for Refugees and Vulnerable Residents of Host Communities in Türkiye (CLIP 2)” which is co-funded by the European Union through its Humanitarian Aid Operations department (ECHO) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
