Afghan Refugee Solidarity Association team conducted a field visit in Malatya with the aim of identifying the needs of earthquake victims, creating a development plan, and establishing direct communication with them. Furthermore, a meeting was held at the Malat Ya Şam Association to understand the challenges faced during fieldwork and to collaborate with active local civil society organizations in Malatya. During the meeting, discussions revolved around the issues encountered in the field after the earthquake, the measures taken, and also the new project planned for the earthquake survivors. We extend our gratitude to the Malat Ya Şam Association for their hospitality.

The project initiated by our association (Temporary Housing Support for Earthquake Victims in Turkey) is supported by the Turkish Philanthropy Funds (TPF) and Airbnb.org. Our project operates in the provinces of Adana, Kahraman Maraş, Kayseri, and Malatya. Through accommodations reserved via Airbnb.org and other short-term housing types, it will assist those displaced due to the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş by providing accommodation for up to 30 days.
