MD. Zakira Hekmat requested both Turkiye and Afghanistan flags from the White House

Founder and President of Afghan Refugees Solidarity Association, Dr. Zakira Hekmat, requested from the White House to have both the Turkiye and Afghanistan flags on the stage together while receiving the 2023 International Women of Courage Award,  "I wanted to give credits to both the country where I was born and the country that embraced me." she stated.
