The Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA) participated in the Legal Consultancy Mentorship Meeting held online on June 24, 2025, under the coordination of STL.
The meeting brought together nearly 20 different organizations and addressed the main legal challenges encountered by field-based NGOs. In the presentation prepared by ARSA, topics such as deportation decisions, administrative detention processes, and the relevant appeal mechanisms were shared in detail. Additionally, participants were informed about how asylum seekers can access legal support, the procedures for international protection applications and appeals, as well as case examples and good practices from the field.
At the end of the meeting, a joint decision was made on the importance of holding such experience-sharing sessions more frequently. ARSA was appreciated by participating organizations for its contributions in the areas of legal consultancy and mentorship. Representatives from the association emphasized that such meetings strengthen inter-agency collaboration and make a positive contribution to fieldwork.
