As the Asylum Seekers and Refugees Solidarity Association (ARSA), we continue our institutional visits as part of the “ACAR Project: Invisible Barriers – Access to Rights for Children with Disabilities in the Context of Displacement in Türkiye.”

In line with the objectives of the project, an institutional visit was conducted with officials from the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of National Education, followed by a productive assessment meeting.

During the meeting, access of displaced children with disabilities to their right to education and educational services, special education processes, and existing needs and challenges encountered throughout these processes were discussed. Field experiences and assessments regarding the more effective and inclusive participation of children with disabilities in the education system were also shared.
